Dedicated to the memory of Helen McWilliams
On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, Helen Lee McWilliams, loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend passed away at the age of 77 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
Born and raised in Georgetown, DE, Helen was the daughter of Joseph and Maggie Pittard, and sister of Joseph Pittard. In 1960, married Myron McWilliams and raised their son, Todd McWilliams, and daughter, Reneé Rosenthal.
Helen moved to Pearland, TX in 1993. She realized her her calling and opened a child daycare business with her friend and business partner, Pricillia Jones. Helen spent the happiest years of her life in Pearland living near her daughter and son-in-law, Reneé and David Rosenthal, along with her much loved grandchildren, Sam and Maggie.
Helen’s family and friends remember her for her generosity and infectious sense of humor. Helen had a special gift for making those around her laugh in any situation.
Helen is survived by brother Joseph Pittard, son Todd McWilliams, daughter Reneé Rosenthal, grandchildren Sam and Maggie Rosenthal, and niece, Susan Pittard Gardner and many friends.
In honor of Helen’s memory, the family asks that donations in Helen’s memory be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association.
